Temporary Admission Documents A temporary admission document is an international customs document accepted as a customs declaration through which goods, including their means of transport, can be identified. It includes a valid international guarantee to cover import duties and taxes for the temporary admission of goods. 3.2 Types of Temporary Admission Documents ATA Carnet. CPD Carnet (Carnet de Passages en Douane). 4. Duration of the ATA Carnet Temporary admission of goods under an ATA Carnet is permitted for a period not exceeding 180 days, provided that this does not exceed the validity period of the Carnet itself. 5. Guaranteeing and Issuing Institutions for the ATA Carnet 5.1 Guaranteeing Institutions The Federation of Saudi Chambers is the approved guaranteeing institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, accredited by the Authority. 5.2 Issuing Institutions The Federation of Saudi Chambers is the approved issuing institutions for ATA Carnets in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, accredited by the Authority. It has the right to authorize subsidiary Chambers of Commerce and Industry throughout the Kingdom to issue ATA Carnets. 6. Beneficiary Categories for Temporary Admission under the ATA Carnet 6.1 Beneficiary Categories The concerned party or their representative may apply for temporary admission under an ATA Carnet according to the following classifications: Importers. Travelers. 6.2 Application Methods for Importers The concerned party or their representative may apply for the temporary admission of goods imported under an ATA Carnet through ZATCA’s website and complete the procedures upon approval via the Fasah Platform. The application must include the following attachments: a. Submission of a customs declaration. b. Delivery permission for goods arriving via air or sea ports. c. Bill of Lading for goods arriving via air or sea ports. d. Manifest for goods arriving via land ports. 6.3 Application Methods for Travelers The concerned party or their representative may apply for the temporary admission of goods imported under an ATA Carnet either through ZATCA’s website or directly at the customs ports while completing the customs procedures.
