Planning and Performance Planning and performance are two essential components of an AI strategy, serving as a guiding frame work that aligns all efforts toward achieving clear and measurable goals. By developing a well-structured plan grounded in a long-term strategic vision, an entity can define the overall direction for AI deployment and identify priority areas where real value can be generated. The plan and vision help foster a shared understanding across the entity regarding the purpose of AI adoption, while facilitating effective allocation of resources and technology investments aligned with strategic objectives. They also ensure that AI initiatives are linked to broader enterprise goals, whether in improving operational performance, enhancing customer experience, or supporting data-driven deci sion-making. To ensure full integration of AI into enterprise direction, the following steps are recommended for building a clear and sustainable strategy: Developing a Comprehensive AI Strategy Document: : A detailed document should be prepared to define the long-term vision, priority areas, and expected outcomes from AI implementation. This document should be built on a sound understanding of the entity’s objectives and technical and hu man capabilities. Aligning the Plan with National Strategies: The AI strategy should be linked to national plans such as Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Strategy for Data and AI (NSDAI) to ensure coherence and support integration between enterprise and national efforts. Defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): A set of performance indicators should be adopted to measure implementation effectiveness, such as the number of smart projects executed, the per centage improvement in service quality, and the degree to which enterprise objectives are achieved through AI. Preparing a Timeline Roadmap: A clear timeline should be developed, covering the planning, launch, expansion, and evaluation phases, with responsibilities and required resources specified for each stage. Simplified Practical Example: The entity develops a document titled “AI Strategy,” which includes a two-year timeline that specifies when pilot projects will be launched and when systems will be applied. These phases are linked to the achievement of service-related objectives and quality improvements. ໟ ໟ ໟ AI Adoption Framework
