If a perpetrator of any of the offenses provided for in this Law offers the
competent authorities information about the offense or about other perpetrators
prior to discovery thereof, and if such information leads to apprehending the
perpetrators or seizing the funds, means, or offense proceeds, the criminal
court may exempt such person from the penalties stipulated in Article 9(1) of
this Law according to rules prepared by the Ministry and issued pursuant to a
Council of Ministers resolution. This shall not include exemptions from zakat
and tax obligations.
