1. The bill of lading shall be made out in two originals, one of which shall be given to the consignor, and the other shall remain with the carrier, and shall state that it is not negotiable by third parties. 2. The carrier, or his representative, shall sign the copy delivered to the consignor which shall give its lawful holder the right to take delivery and dispose of the goods. 3. Copies of the bill of lading may be made at the request of the consignor. Each copy shall be signed and shall indicate the number of copies which have been made. Each copy shall have the same effect as the other copies, and if one of them is used to take delivery of the goods, the other copies shall be deemed void against the carrier.
