1. A father shall be solely responsible for providing financial support to his children who have
no financial resources, provided that the father is of good financial standing or is able to
earn a living.
2. Without prejudice to paragraph (1) of this Article, financial support shall continue to be
provided to a son until he reaches the age at which his peers are able to earn a living and
to a daughter until she gets married.
