Implementing Regulations of The Agriculture Law

1. An escort sailor’s license shall be issued to Saudi nationals and government or private sector employees. 2. The holder of an escort sailor’s license may not engage in fishing individually or with foreign workers, but solely in the company of a licensed Saudi fisherman, and in the area covered by the license. 3. The holder of an escort sailor’s license shall not be entitled to register a fishing vessel in his name, or to obtain any subsidy provided to fishermen. 4. An escort sailor’s license shall be permanently revoked if he commits three violations of the fishing provisions set out in the Law and its Regulations. 5. The owner of a fishing vessel shall not have the right to register more than two escorts holding an escort sailor’s license.
