Proceedings of the case shall resume at the request of a litigant by summons duly served to the successor of the person
against whom ground for discontinuance applies or to the other litigant. Proceeding with the case shall also resume if the
hearing scheduled for consideration of the case is attended by the successor or the person against whom ground for
discontinuance applies.
