If the accused is arrested outside the jurisdiction of the department conducting the investigation, he shall be brought to the
investigation department in the area
where he is arrested. This department shall verify all the relevant personal particulars and inform the accused of the charge
against him and record his statements in respect thereof. If the case requires his transfer, he shall be notified of the place to
which he is transferred.
