The court shall, upon the request of a witness, assess his transportation
expenses and compensation for inconvenience. Such expenses shall be
incurred by the litigant who loses the case; if the loss is shared by the litigants,
each litigant shall bear expenses to the extent of his loss. The court shall
indicate the expenses and compensation in the judgment issued on the subject-
matter of the case.
