1. A decisive oath is an oath taken by a defendant to refute a claim; it may be
tendered back to the plaintiff, in accordance with the provisions stipulated in
this Part.
2. A suppletory oath is an oath taken by the plaintiff in accordance with the
provisions of this Part to supplement his evidence; it may not be tendered
back to the defendant.
