1. A work injury shall include any accident that occurs to a contributor during the performance of
the duties of his work or by reason thereof. It shall also include any accident that occurs to a
contributor during his regular commute between his place of residence and his place of
employment, or between his place of employment and the place where he usually eats or prays.
The same shall apply to accidents that occur to a contributor during his travel to perform a task
assigned to him by the employer. The Regulations shall specify the rules necessary for the
application of this paragraph.
2. The occupational diseases specified in the schedule referred to in paragraph (3) of this Article shall
be deemed work injuries. The date of the patient's first medical examination shall be deemed the
date on which the injury occurred.
3. Occupational diseases shall be specified in a schedule to be issued by the Board of Directors; such
schedule shall be reviewed thereby when necessary.
4. The Regulations shall specify the maximum periods during which the symptoms of occupational
diseases are presumed to appear, including cases where symptoms of the disease appear on the
contributor after his employment terminates, as well as the methods and time limits for reporting
work injuries.
