1. Contributions for each social insurance branch shall be computed on the basis of the basic wage
or salary; the Regulations may add any other benefits and allowances received by the contributor
to such basis, provided that the amount used as a basis for the computation of contributions is not
less than the minimum wage or salary determined by the competent authority. The Regulations
shall specify the criteria on the basis of which the contributions of voluntary contributors are
computed as well as the computation method thereof.
2. The maximum contributory wage or salary shall be forty-five thousand riyals (SAR 45,000) per
month.
3. The maximum contributory wage or salary provided for in paragraph (2) of this Article may be
amended pursuant to a Council of Ministers resolution issued upon a proposal by the Board of
Directors based on the revision of wage and salary levels and the results of actuarial studies.
4. An employer shall, within the time limit specified in the Regulations and according to the method
determined by the Organization, submit to the Organization the data of contributory wages or
salaries.
