The Minister or his designee may, in coordination with relevant agencies, take
any of the following precautionary measures:
1. Activating the contingency plan pertaining to handling the activity of waste
management in exigent or extraordinary circumstances, in accordance with
Waste Management Law
the Regulations.
2. Suspending the activity, wholly or partially, as the case may be, for a period
not exceeding 30 days in case of the detection of a violation that requires
prompt action to avoid a disaster, and referring the violator to the competent
agency for investigation.
