Availability and Monitoring
Availability and operational monitoring are two critical components for ensuring service continuity and
performance reliability. They refer to continuous access to digital resources 24/7, supported by advanced
performance monitoring and analysis systems that allow for immediate response to interruptions or fail
ures and enable predictive analysis to anticipate issues. To achieve this, the following is recommended:
Maintaining a Defined Downtime Threshold: Minimizing downtime is a vital goal for any AI applica
tion used in production environments. A standard of less than 30 minutes of downtime per year is set
as a strategic indicator of service quality and continuity, enhancing user trust and reducing operation
al and economic impacts of any outages.
Adopting Predictive Failure Analytics: Using predictive analytics is an effective tool for preventing
unexpected failures. AI models are employed to detect abnormal patterns and predict failures before
they occur. This approach supports proactive maintenance, improves system readiness, and enhanc
es the efficiency of managing technological resources.
Implementing Infrastructure Governance: Effective infrastructure governance requires defining the
nature of ownership (internal, external, or hybrid), with clear distribution of permissions and responsi
bilities among stakeholders. This approach strengthens oversight, ensures compliance with the tech
nical Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and facilitates the management of expansions or external
contracts.
Generating Regular Infrastructure Reports: Infrastructure performance indicators are key tools for
detailed monitoring and continuous improvement. These indicators include: Availability rate, resource
consumption, number of failures, and response time. Such reports are submitted regularly to relevant
departments and technical committees to support data-driven decision-making.
Publishing Monthly Readiness Reports: Monthly readiness reports are reviewed by the Technology
Governance Committee and are used to track trends, identify potential risks, and ensure uninterrupt
ed service. This practice is part of a comprehensive oversight system that enhances transparency and
contributes to achieving the highest levels of technical readiness and operational reliability.
Simplified Practical Example
The entity applies a 24/7 AI application monitoring system that sends instant alerts in case of performance degradation or
potential outages. Monthly reports presenting availability rates are published and reviewed by the Technology Governance
Committee.
