A vessel owner may limit the extent of his liability in claims arising from any of the following causes: 1. Death or injury of passengers, and loss or damage to property on board the vessel. 2. Death or injury of any other person, whether on land or at sea, and loss or damage to any other property if it arises from an act, negligence, or fault attributable to any person on board the vessel for whom the owner is responsible. 3. Damage caused by the vessel to installations of ports, docks, waterways, or navigational aids. 4. Losses resulting from delays in the carriage of goods, or passengers or their baggage by sea. 5. Breach of non-contractual rights arising directly from operating the vessel or rescue operations. 6. Damage caused from raising or removing the wreckage of sunken, stranded, or abandoned vessels; destroying the vessel; or eliminating its threat, including cargo and the like. Commercial Maritime Law
