1. No veterinary preparations shall be used in agricultural facilities, except those
licensed by SFDA, in accordance with the controls specified by the Ministry.
2. The Ministry shall coordinate with any agency inside or outside the Kingdom to
produce veterinary preparations to cover local needs.
3. The residues of veterinary preparations and other residues in agricultural facility
products shall not exceed the MRLs specified in the Kingdom’s approved standards.
4. Veterinary preparations shall only be used in agricultural facilities for the treatment
and protection of animal and living aquatic resources, and shall only be dispensed
under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian. Prescriptions shall specify the type,
dose, and administration period of the preparation as well as its withdrawal period.
5. Veterinary preparations shall only be sold in agricultural facilities for the treatment
and protection of their animal and living aquatic resources, and shall not be
dispensed except under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.
6. Diseased animal and living aquatic resources under treatment shall be isolated, and
shall not be offered or marketed for human or animal consumption prior to the
expiration of the withdrawal period. The necessary tests shall be conducted to ensure
that the residues of preparations in these organisms do not exceed the permissible
limits.
