Law of Criminal Procedure

Preliminary criminal investigation officers shall, in conducting their duties as provided for in this Law, be subject to the supervision of the Public Prosecution. The Public Prosecution may request the relevant authority to review any violation or dereliction of duty by such officers and to take disciplinary action against them. The relevant authority shall notify the Public Prosecution of any action taken in this regard, without prejudice to the right to initiate criminal action.
