A complaint filed by a person sustaining injury as a result of a crime shall be considered as a claim of his private right, unless
he expressly waives such right before the investigator. The investigator shall record such waiver in the report and have it
witnessed. In case of qisas and defamation, such waiver shall be attested by the competent court.
