The court may, on its own motion or the motion of a litigant, and at any stage of the case, carry out the following: 1. Summon the expert to a scheduled hearing to discuss his report, orally or in writing; it may direct any questions thereto. 2. Order the expert to address any shortcomings and to rectify errors or deficiencies in his work; it may appoint one or more experts to assist him. 3. Appoint one or more experts to address any shortcomings and to rectify any errors or deficiencies in the work of the previous expert, or to restart the investigation. The appointed expert may use the information of the previous expert.
