1. Whoever produces pictures shall not publish, display, or distribute the
originals or copies thereof without the permission of the individuals in the
pictures or their heirs. This provision shall not apply if the pictures were

published on the occasion of public events, if they are pictures of officials or
public figures, or if publication is permitted by public authorities in the service
of public interest. The person represented in the picture may give permission
for its publication in newspapers, magazines, and the like, even without the
photographer’s permission. Such provisions shall apply to the picture,
regardless of the way the picture was produced.
2. The author shall have the sole right to publish his letters. However, this right
shall not be exercised without the permission of the addressee, if publication
may harm him.
