Fulfillment of a bequest, with regard to the legatee, shall be subject to the following:
1. If made for a specified natural person or a specified class, a bequest shall be fulfilled by
acceptance following the testator’s death; in such case, ownership of the bequest shall
be transferred to the legatee from the date of acceptance.
2. If made for an incompetent person, a bequest shall be fulfilled by the guardian’s
acceptance.
3. If made for the sake of Allah, for charitable purposes, or for an unspecified class, a
bequest shall be fulfilled without acceptance upon the testator’s death.
4. If made for a legal person, a bequest shall be fulfilled by the acceptance of the person
entitled to accept it in accordance with applicable provisions.
5. If made for a mosque, a bequest shall be fulfilled by the acceptance of the supervising
entity, and if made for an endowment, it shall be fulfilled by the acceptance of its
administrator.
