1. If a marriage contract includes a condition that affects its continuity, or if its conclusion is
conditional upon the conclusion of another marriage contract, the marriage contract shall
be deemed void.
2. Subject to paragraph (1) of this Article, if a condition contradicts the purpose of the
marriage contract, such condition shall be deemed void, but shall not affect the validity of
the contract.
