In cases in which the paternity of a child is established by birth under a marriage contract, a
man may not deny the paternity of a child except by filing a li’an claim, provided that the
following two conditions are satisfied:
1. The claim is filed within 15 days from the date he becomes aware of the birth.
2. The denial is not preceded by an explicit or implicit acknowledgement of his paternity of
the child.
