148. Instructions for Transit Ships Carrying Weapons, Ammunitions, and Explosives
1. The shipping agent of a ship carrying weapons, ammunitions, or explosives, planning to transit through KSA ports, shall notify
the competent government entities and obtain the necessary approvals, along with an authenticated approval from the
country of destination through its embassy in the exporting country.
2. The agent of the ship shall submit a notice to the port administration, along with an attached copy of the approval from the
country of destination mentioned in Paragraph (1) above.
3. The ship is allowed to transit by virtue of the authenticated approval from the embassy of the country of destination.
4. If a ship carrying weapons, ammunitions, or explosives arrives without prior notification of the referred approval, it will be
seized, and regulatory procedures will be enforced.
149. Instructions for Loading/Unloading of Explosives Used for Industrial Purposes
1. Obtain necessary approvals from the competent entities.
2. Comply with all safety and industrial security measures.
3. Consider the safe distances between ships at the wharfs during loading or unloading process.
Ensure that these explosives have been packaged in a safe manner to prevent any explosions; and provide the port with a certificate
from the country of origin, confirming the safety of packaging and the stowage of goods within categories (1, 7).
