1. Establishing occupational and non-occupational disabilities, determining whether an injury or
disease is occupational or non-occupational, and determining the estimated duration of a disability
shall be made by the primary medical boards.
2. The contributor or his entitled family members, as the case may be, or the Organization may appeal
the decisions issued by the primary medical boards before the appeal medical boards within 30
days from the date of notification of the decision.
3. The primary and appeal medical boards provided for in paragraphs (1) and (2) of this Article shall
be formed pursuant to a decision by the Board of Directors, and each board shall comprise at least
three physicians, one of whom shall be named chairman. All the members of the appeal medical
boards shall be from outside the Organization. The remuneration of primary and appeal medical
board members and the work rules and procedures of such boards shall be determined pursuant to
a decision by the Board of Directors.
