1. The court may, on its own motion or the motion of a litigant, decide to appoint
one expert, or more, to offer his opinion on technical issues which the court
deems necessary to decide the case.
2. Upon selecting an expert, the expert’s technical expertise in the disputed
matter shall be taken into account.
3. If the litigants agree to appoint one expert, or more, the court shall approve
their agreement.
