47. Navigation Aids Management and Maintenance
1. The navigation aids shall be of high quality and efficiency to meet the highest maritime safety requirements for ships entering
Saudi ports.
2. Regular maintenance of the navigation aids shall be performed to ensure proper functioning, following a maintenance schedule
that includes the tasks determined by the competent entity.
3. The life span of navigation marks shall not exceed 25 years, and they shall be replaced with modern navigation aids and marks
according to specifications determined by each competent entity.
